Service Description
This fun sewing camp is suitable for students with some sewing experience, age 11+. Sewers will be introduced to the sewing machine and safety rules. We will start with creating a mood board and fashion sketches on a fashion figure. They will then create a 3D form by learning to drape on the life size fashion mannequin with knit and woven fabrics. They will learn about proportion, scale and measurements in addition to different types of fabric and how they drape in different ways. After learning about draping, they will sew from a commercial pattern, choosing between a sun dress/circular skirt or pair of shorts for their fashion piece. They will learn about how to follow a commercial paper pattern, seam allowance and sewing hems.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds will be given up to 2 weeks prior to the start of classes or camp program. After the 2 week time frame, there will be no refund. For cancellations, there will be a 10% handling fee. If a camp or class has insufficient sign ups, you will be notified 1 week prior and a full refund will be provided or the option of credit to the next session. One make up class will be given within one session if you miss a class on a designated date. If you miss more than one class, there will be no extra makeups. If we cancel a class you will be notified by email and a makeup date will be arranged to accommodate. If there is a cancellation due to weather related concerns, there will be one makeup date only. Covid 19 Policy Our machines are wiped down before and after classes and hand sanitizer is provided to each student upon arrival. Ventilation is provided in the sewing room and water bottles are available upon request. Masks are provided if mask mandate is still in place.We will observe up-to-date DOH and CDC guidelines.
